Arena Floor/ Skating & Ice Activities

 August 2015 Summer Ice Programming Now Available!!

Town of Huntsville is pleased to offer August 2015 Summer Ice Programming on the Don Lough Arena.

  • Parent & Tot Skate

  • Adult Shinny

Indoor Scheduled Ice Programs are seasonal  from September to April. Check for Ice In and Out Dates.

Ice is currently in at Don Lough Arena and out on Jack Bionda Arena.


Arena Floor - Indoor Inline Skating is Available April to July

Inline skating is offered at the Canada Summit Centre for the months of April through to the end of July, every Tuesday morning from 10:00am - 11:00am, and some Friday evenings from 7:00pm - 8:30pm, when the ice is out.  Skate fees apply. Please refer to the Calendar for more details. 


Arena Floor- Adult Ball Hockey is Available April to end of June

Drop-In adult Ball hockey is played at the Canada Summit Centre from April to end of June, on Wednesday nights from 9:00pm-10:00pm and Sunday nights from 7:00pm-8:00pm.  Proper equipment is required.  Drop-in Fees apply.


Arena Floor - Adult & Older Adult Pickleball is Available April to September on the Jack Bionda Arena Floor.

Tuesday & Thursday mornings at the Canada Summit Centre from April to September from 9:30am-12:00pm  Drop-in Fees apply.

Ice Outdoor Public Skating at Cann Lake:

Cann Lake usually opens and is available for use starting in January of each year until the spring melt.  Check back here for opening and closing dates each year.

This free outdoor skating facility is located at North East corner of Brunel Road and Forbes Hill Drive.

Parking is available on Forbes Hill Drive at Conroy Park.

Ice availability is dependent on the weather conditions.  Please respect posted signage at the pond entrance identifying the conditions of the rink,  for your safety.

And be sure to Thank your Town Parks Staff for all their efforts in making this facility possible!!

Also, Watch for news updates about special events taking place at Cann Lake this winter!

All participants are encouraged to wear a helmet.

Youth age 12 and younger are required to wear a helmet.

All skating programs are located at the Canada Summit Centre, with the exception of Family Days at the Pond on Cann Lake during the months of January and February. Please visit our Leisure Activity Guide under "Public Skating" for more information on skating programs.
