55+/Older Adult Programs
Adults aged 55+ are an ever-changing population that continues to grow, express interest in trying new activities and concentrate on their physical well-being. Traditional programs such as cards, art classes and luncheons still remain, but today's older adults are now joining fitness classes, playing hockey and public skating, to name a few.
The Town of Huntsville offers a variety of programming for those 55+, both registered and on a drop-in basis, at the Active Living Centre.
Club 55 also operates and offers Programs from Town Hall for seniors in our community.
All seniors in the Huntsville community, both residents and visitors, are welcome to attend the 55+/Older Adult Programs offered at the Active Living Centre within the Canada Summit Centre.
Please view the monthly newsletter update and calendar, and also our Leisure Activity Guide under "Adult or Older Adult Programs" for more information on older adult programs.
Your suggestions and feedback is important in the offering of new Programs.
ZOOMERS with Zip -- (55+) Drop-In Summer 2016 Program
Town of Huntsville offered a new program in the summer of 2016, thanks to the Seniors Community Grant that offered Social, Active and Fun programming for Older Adults called Zoomer's with Zip.
Adults (aged 55+) were welcome to drop in or pre-register for summer activities such as yoga, canoeing, geocaching, aquafit, arts, croquet, cards, tennis, frizbee golf, geocaching and so much more.
It was kind of like "Day Camp for Adults"
We would appreciate your feedback on the Zoomers with Zip Program as well as other programs offered for Adults and Older Adults at the Active Living centre and the Canada Summit Centre:

Participants are asked to meet in Meeting Room 3 of the Active Living Centre unless advised otherwise. Participants are asked to come dressed in appropriate clothing and footwear and bring a water bottle. All equipment will be supplied by the Town of Huntsville.
Drop in fee of $2.50 (tax included) or pre-registration at Customer Service desk. Instructor: Danielle
